Kristy Chettle \ Artist
As I am in the learning phase about the artist, I visit their studio to deeply understand them as an artist. I gather as much information as possible to know how to plan the display, aiming not only for beauty but also to drive sales and recognition.
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Kristy. Her decision to choose and trust me to design her new website meant a lot, not only because she is a great artist but also because she is a graphic designer.
If you're not familiar with my work process, in brief, each step involves presenting the work to the client for brainstorming and discussions on potential improvements or the decision to proceed. The design phase with Kristy, in particular, was a fascinating collaborative experience.
Kristy Chettle has a unique technique—she paints with her hands, and this is what we aim to highlight in her online presentation. It adds significant value to her art. Additionally, we've incorporated a video from the art channel Purple Road. Her collectors said that this video helped them decide to make a purchase because it created a connection with the artist (see screenshot below).
Visitors can easily follow Kristy by leaving their email. They can also stay updated on her new works through the slider below.
The colors on the site were carefully chosen, inspired by the bold red color that Christy likes to use in her art. The aspiration was to create an elegant and clean site centered around her paintings, displayed on a large scale.
