Lesley Ann Spowart is a talented mid-career artist. She is colorful, fun, and highly skilled in working with various mediums, creating captivating textures.

When designing Lesley's website, I considered many different parameters.

Our goal is to create an elegant, clean, and impressive yet straightforward presentation. We want visitors to immediately recognize Lesley as a mid-career artist, so we highlighted her representation by a prestigious gallery.

We also included testimonials from her collectors and art dealers to show her long-standing impact in the art world. As soon as visitors enter the site, they can see the fun and colorful style of her works and explore different collections (animals and fully abstract). The colors and fonts of the website were carefully chosen to reflect Lesley's style, creating an atmosphere that connects her art and the story about her with the audience.

When you click on one of the collections, the other pages of the site transition to a dark background. This design choice provides focus and comfort, similar to a gallery setting where customers are seated in a dark room with a comfortable armchair to view a painting under ideal lighting. It's all about creating an immersive experience—online as well.

Each painting's page features a button to purchase the artwork and another to make an offer. This functionality is something I recommend to everyone. From my experience working in a gallery, selling paintings both physically and online share a common denominator: everyone wants a discount, even the wealthiest.
